The depth of talent found here in our little Midcoast region, never ceases to amaze me. My guest this week was a great example. Mimi Bornstein – Artistic Director for Midcoast Community Chorus – is taking her own immense talent and using it to mold the singing talents of others as well. She leads a choir of 145 of our friends and neighbors, many of whom have never sung outside their shower, while also engaging the community and giving back the proceeds of their benefit concert to worthy organizations. More people making music, doing good, and building community – win, win, win.

Go to www.MCCSings.org for all the details on upcoming shows, tickets, volunteer opportunities and more.

Music Selections:

Midcoast Community Chorus, of course!  Selections were taken from the group’s CD, Best of Midcoast Community Chorus…So Far.  Copies of the CD can be ordered via the group’s website at: http://mccsings.org/store/

Thanks, Mimi and best of luck with your upcoming January and February concerts and beyond!

I was happy to have the opportunity to talk with Jerod Cronkite, Financial Advisor at Edward Jones Rockport Office. Deciphering the financial universe can be overwhelming. It’s great to chat with someone who can clearly explain the big picture of personal and business finance. Jerod shared some great advice for looking at personal finance, business finance and planning for the eventualities in life we all face – college, retirement, buying a home, whatever is important to the individual. Enjoy!  Thanks for coming into the studio, Jerod!
