Mary serves on the boards of two local organizations – Coastal Mountains Land Trust and Legal Services for the Elderly – and we had a chance to cover them both today. We talked about the many ways in which Legal Services for the Elderly is helping elderly citizens from across the state overcome legal, credit, medicaid, and other issues. Important work that will only grow more vital as Maine’s citizenry ages.
On a lighter note, Coastal Mountains Land Trust’s, “Run for the Hills” event is coming up on September 11 in Belfast. Run it to race or fun run / walk just to enjoy the view. But, either way, be sure to register for this race through some of the Land Trust’s properties. Enjoy!
